Pirate, the marina cat.

Guess who really runs the place.  No prizes for guessing.

As lovely and independent as he is, please be aware he can scratch and bite if not treated with respect.

If you have a dog you may need to put it on a lead as Pirate is not a big fan.  Like most cats, sudden movements and loud noises are not appreciated by him.

He may take the odd cat treat but mostly he will ignore them until he thinks you are not looking. Do not be offended by this behaviour.  It's just his way.

He is very fond of peace and quiet and I think he appreciates people who are like him in that respect.  If he comes to you, you are deeply favoured and privileged.

You should have seen the other cat!

Don't believe everything Pirate tells you.

The surgery was to remove skin cancer and the vet did a great job. (A problem with white cats in particular.)

Pirate did not have an altercation with other cats where he bravely and defiantly defended the Marina against the hostile hordes and forces of darkness.

It is still a good story though, and Pirate tells great stories.

At some point I expect there will be a book but in the mean time please do get to know this little star.  The Marina would not be the same without him.

The face says it all.

This is the face of a cat who wants to know where you have been and why it has taken you so long to return and deliver an essential meal.

The complaint is duly noted.
