Visitors often ask about boats for sale at the Marina and in response we occasionally advertise our members boats.
Boats are advertised 'in good faith' on our website. We do not offer brokerage or any guarantees on our part regarding the accuracy of the information given, (e.g. boat condition, BSS and licensing status, etc., any debts which may be transferable or proof of ownership). Our role is strictly limited to passing on information received and buyers should check the accuracy for themselves.
Conditionally, any advertised boats must be berthed at Arrows Marina and owners will be responsible for viewings and river trials. Boats are required to be CRT compliant with all licenses and safety certificates up to date, etc., and be 'fit for purpose' and insured.
If you are interested in a boat, contact the owner directly, not Arrows Marina. We always recommend you have a survey done and take professional advice before completing a purchase. Buyers should also check with the Warden as to berth availability.
Any members of Arrows Marina wishing to take advantage of this service should contact our Warden in the first instance. This service is not available to members whose berthing agreements have lapsed or are in deficit.

'Nordica': Nordic 81
£6,000 - asking price reduced by £1K.
Summary: think Land Rover rather than Limo. Used 28' sea going/inshore motor sailer with sailing gear removed for Canal and river use. A good usable project boat with a solid and powerful diesel engine (original 3 cylinder diesel Volvo Penta), regularly serviced, 12 and 24 volt electrics with USB ports, solar panels, 240 volt shore power with fuse box and 4 sockets and spurs, survey done in November 2025 and report available, etc. BSS to November 2026. Canopy will need re-stitching or replacing next year. Hull design based on life boats and Viking long boats and basic but very solid/reliable/stable. This is a sound boat and safely suited for a beginner or experienced boater, but needs constant loving attention as does any boat of this worth and age. An absolute maritime tractor.
Hull and main superstructure: Fiberglass heavily laid. Hull has not been abused. Recent new European oak cockpit sides and front. Cruiser mast with nav-lights+, tv receiver, radar reflectors, replacement registered radio etc. Realistic single live aboard with potential 4 berths (2 adults and 2 children) for weekends etc.
Keel: Long keel and it goes where it is pointed. It sits in the water and handles well. My teenage grandchildren can handle it confidently and with ease forward. Reverse needs experience and practice.
Use: Currently river and canals but good proven inshore capability. Navigation equipped for coastal and sea going and fully functioning. If the price is dropped then some equipment may be removed.
Fuel Capacity: estimated 11-20 gallons using around 1.0-1.5 litres per hour at 4 to 5 knots. So efficient I have never filled it in my ownership the last four years of use. The existing fuel is uncontaminated and clear on visual inspection having done a fuel tank inspection.
Year: built 1971-1975. This is a 50+ year old boat so don’t expect perfection. Some wood work needs TLC but generally ok. Interior linings have been removed in places where the foam interlining has disintegrated over time so some work will need doing if you want 'pristine'. It's a water tight and useable boat, but not 'showroom'.
Primary Fuel Type: Diesel/fuel oil.
Contact: fr.ian@tiscali.co.uk and request Nov., 2025, survey if interested.
